Invisible Witness of History: Veniamin’s Life in Saint Petersburg

The Petersburg intellectual Veniamin has lived for nearly a century in an apartment overlooking the Kazan Cathedral. His fate unfolded against the backdrop of major 20th-century events — revolutions, repressions, wars, and the collapse of the USSR.

Facing death, he mentally returns to the past, reliving every meaningful April of his life: loss of loved ones, betrayal, personal tragedies, and inner doubt.

Despite changing eras, Veniamin remains an observer, invisible to history.
