The use of the “Super-Ferien-Pass” has been continued.
The Berlin Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family (Senatsverwaltung für Bildung, Jugend und Familie, SenBJF) has decided to continue the use of the «Super-Ferien-Pass» (the so-called “pass-subscription”). It will also be valid during the “2026/2027 school year,” from the beginning of this year’s summer holidays until the end of the 2027 Easter holidays.
This pass is a special “tool” for providing practical support to families and organizing activities for children and young people during periods free from school classes. It is worth noting that the Super-Ferien-Pass» was first “introduced” in the capital in 2006. At that time, it was initially called the Super-Holiday-Pass» and consisted of a 144-page brochure containing more than 200 coupons entitling holders to discounted admission or free entry to popular children’s leisure and entertainment centers.
Over time, this “pass-subscription” gained widespread recognition and well-deserved popularity in the capital. This was largely due to a significant increase in the number of discounted and free offers for holders—there are now around 500—as well as its quite affordable price of just 9 euros.
As before, holders of the Super-Ferien-Pass» can look forward to pleasant surprises: prize draws for numerous free tickets to various spectacular events and shows, educational excursions, exciting day trips, as well as practical workshops and introductory courses. Taking part in excursions and educational programs also provides an excellent opportunity to make new friends and expand one’s social circle.
In summer, the “pass-subscription” can be used for free admission once a day to municipal swimming facilities operated by Berliner Bäder-Betriebe» (with a special card—the “Badenkarte”). At other times of the year, the Super-Ferien-Pass» is useful for free or discounted admission to the city’s ice-skating rinks, Berlin’s zoos, and indoor themed complexes (for example, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Berlin, Tommys Turbulente Tobewelt, BIM & BOOM Kinderspielland, and others).
IMPORTANT
- The Super-Ferien-Pass» may be used by children and young people who are “official residents” of Berlin and are no older than 18;
- some current offers are subject to age restrictions or special conditions. For example, “valid up to age 14” or “only when accompanied by an adult paying the full price.” Written parental consent is required to participate in some activities;
- families receiving government support under the “Education and Participation” package (Bildungs-und Teilhabepaket, Leistungen aus dem Bildungs- und Teilhabepaket) are entitled to reimbursement of the expenses incurred when purchasing this “pass-subscription”;
- The Super-Ferien-Pass is a personal document belonging to its holder. It may not be transferred to third parties. No compensation, including partial reimbursement of expenses, is provided if the pass is lost.
