As is known, dance is an integral part of human nature. It permeates cultural life, promotes the harmonious development of the individual, finds application in sport, is an essential attribute of entertainment events, can determine the choice of profession and even serve as a therapeutic means.

It has a unique ability to visually convey a person's inner state, deep experiences and a wide range of emotions, regardless of age. It helps overcome feelings of loneliness, stimulates the need for social interaction, develops skills for working in a creative team and builds deep mutual understanding with a partner. Any dance performance is a vivid, spontaneous emotional dialogue between performers and the audience, capable of mesmerizing and winning the hearts of even the most skeptical viewers.

Going beyond ordinary physical exercise, dance acts as a powerful means of the comprehensive development of a person. It contributes, especially for teenagers and young people, not only to the formation of a strong body, but also to the enrichment of their emotional world, the honing of intellectual abilities and the development of personality. A well-constructed dance education process paves the way for nurturing a whole person who will feel confident and successfully realize themselves in the modern world.

All these processes are vividly and clearly manifested during the classes, rehearsals and performances of the dance studio Jana Ritters Tanzstudio (JRTS). It has rightfully established itself as one of the most successful and sought-after children's and youth dance schools in Berlin.

At the same time, the students JRTS actively participate in the life of the capital, delighting Berliners and the city's guests with their sparkling and emotional performances at numerous large-scale cultural and concert events, integration festivals of Russian Germans and citywide holiday celebrations. And not only in the federal state of Berlin.

At present JRTS is rightfully considered a kind of Berlin "forge of talents" — winners of German championships, victors of many national and international tournaments, and champions of Berlin in dance. Which is quite natural and understandable. After all, the studio's director, head coach and choreographer-producer is a former six-time German champion and world vice-champion in professional ballroom dancing in the "Youth" category, a licensed coach and judge of the highest category in professional ballroom dancing Yana Ritter (a Russian German, a native of the city of Omsk).

Amid the many spring holidays and memorable dates, the significant success of the students JRTS at the recent German Dance Championship in the German "metropolis of gold and watches" — the city of Pforzheim (2 – 3 May, Pforzheim, state of Baden-Württemberg) went somewhat unnoticed by the media. In the Berlin young dancers' community this event is clearly significant. The studio's dancers took first places in two categories (under 14 years, level «Intermediate 1» and under 18 years, level «Intermediate» - «Advanced») and were awarded the prestigious championship cups.         

The "Intermediate" level — in international standards of performance classification in competitive dancing corresponds to B-class.

The "Advanced" level - is equivalent to the C-class in some qualification systems for "advanced" dancers who have significant performance experience.

The mentioned 2026 German Championship in Pforzheim was traditionally held under the auspices of the "United Dance Organisation" (United Dance Organisation, UDO, which was established in 2002) — the largest international structure in the world for a wide variety of dance styles. UDO's "philosophy" is straightforward — to create for dancers of different ages, skill levels, nationalities and talents an "open space" where everyone can freely and inspiredly express their artistry and love of dance.

UDO organizes corresponding competitions around the world, including in Germany. And, importantly, not for the sake of competition alone, but as a qualification for the world and European championships it conducts. In this context, it can be assumed that the undeniable success of the prizewinners of the studio Jana Ritters Tanzstudio at the 2026 German Championship has every reason to become a powerful stimulus for further achievements of its students.
